Backland ILF Risers
Packable. Easy to assemble. Dependable. Reliable. Tunable. Compatible. All of these drew me to the International Limb Fitting (ILF) archery technology as a competitive archer in the early 2000s. I quickly adopted the hunting length risers which began to emerge shortly thereafter, and have been shooting ILF gear consistently ever since.
Backland riser geometries have been carefully engineered to deliver an exceptional traditional archery shooting experience for both longbow and recurve limbs, and have been proven in the field and on the range for over a decade. I was an advocate before I was fortunate enough to build Backland risers. If you're like me, the tuning options; rugged durability; and smooth, consistent shooting will help put a smile on your face and meat in your freezer.
What's more? All Backland ILF risers are made to deliver the ultimate, no-compromise ILF hunting bow that's completely made in the USA. Riser stock, machining, hardware, grips - they're all made right here in Michigan. Tariff free, since always.
Backland 15
The Backland 15 (15") is, simply put, the riser which defined ILF longbow performance for me. Somehow, this managed to be done in a way that still played nicely with recurve limbs. Sleek lines and slender profile help keep the weight down and the classy looks up. Don't want a target bow to lug through the woods? The Backland 15 is for you!

Backland 19
We are thrilled to announce the Backland 19! The same looks and clean lines you know and love from the Backland 15, now in a 19" offering for those who prefer a bit longer bow!
Long draw shooters who suffer from finger pinch can take advantage of the longer setup afforded by the Backland 19, while maintaining the same shooting characteristics of the 19's proven 15" predecessor. Competitive archers can also enjoy the added forgiveness and increased mass that come with the longer riser.

Backland Grip Options
Backland grips are custom made by Jager Archery for Backland risers. Available in options of Low, High, and Torque-Free Side Panels (all 3 available in both right and left hand) to fit you and your shooting style. Backland Low and High grips are dual polymer, with the heel of the grips made of a softer, stickier polymer for more grip and better insulation.
